Wrote a song this summer with a friend of mine from the Faroe Islands.
His name is Marius Ziska and I love him like a brother :D

It's called Tokan / Þokan (The mist)

My dearest, dearest friends and fans.
So much going on! I'll let you know about all the things as soon as I can.
But in the meantime I just wanted to say happy new year and thanks so much for all your love in the last couple of months and years! I'm just so happy and my whole family is ecstatic for having you guys in our lives.

Upcoming this year are tours of N-Europe in April/may and Sept/oct, Canada in June, U.S.A. in March and possibly in July and some more stuff also! :D
Playing both SXSW and NXNE festivals, and contemplating a release of my three solo albums on Vinyl. :D

Working on so many different projects these days. From Theatre to film to new album work. I'm just dying from ADD. (I wish I had the H also, but I'm not Hyper enough...)
Biggest love to you all and hoping to see as many as possible this year! Also wish I could come to Australia... My heart is with you guys in this terrible time.

Hey you guys!
Just finished an amazing tour of Germany and Switzerland, closing with a wonderful concert in Copenhagen at Sossa's workshop.

Wanted to thank everyone that came and all my beautiful hosts and friends!
Also: Here's a beautifully recorded video from the Hamburg Küchensessions (Kitchen sessions) of a special ukulele version of While the world burns.

My album, Ölduslóð (way of waves) is now out on svavarknutur.bandcamp.com and some other digital stores like Itunes and Amazon and Spotify :D.
You can stream it for free and also see the development of my daughter's artwork from Kvöldvaka and Amma.

If you like the album, I'd really like it if you buy a physical copy when it comes your way. :D Is that not a nice deal?

I'm coming now on a tour of Germany, switzerland and one concert in Copenhagen and hopefully one in Lund, Sweden. It's going to be pretty fun and a nice tour.

We just finished the mastering of Ölduslóð. Now we only need to finish the artwork.

Right now I'm recharging my batteries at my favorite chillout place in the world. Skálá, my old family cottage in the north of Iceland.

New album, Ölduslóð out soon! Plus, tiny preview.

Hey my lovely friends!
Just a quick update, since I've not been writing a lot recently.
My new solo album, Ölduslóð (Way of the waves), is almost ready and will be out in early September, on Dimma records and also on Beste! Unterhaltung, if everything goes according to plan.
I've been recording it with my good friend Míó at the Greenhouse studios.

On the album I enjoy the amazing talents of Czheck republic singer/songwriter Markéta Irglová, who sings with me and plays some beautiful piano tracks as well as Helgi Jónsson, who blasts the Trombone into new dimensions. :D

It's been a labour of love and I can't wait to share it with you.

Oh! Here's a nice picture of me with a little kid at the Icelandic goat conservation center, a pet project of mine.

And here below is a nice little preview of the album, the first song, a duet with Markéta called Baby would you marry me?

Victory, graditude and joy!

Just came home from Berlin where I claimed the first place in an international singer/songwriter competition called Troubadour.
The competition was fierce, fun and amazingly eclectic! The host, Mckinley Black is an amazing character, beautiful singer/songwriter and an altruistic dream, making things happen for others.

I just want to put forth my great gratitude, appreciation and happiness, for all the beautiful people that rocked up and voted for me, the panel of judges and also my fellow competetitors, who inspired me to be a better musician, with their amazing talents and stage presence!

Jolly happy tour! Plus new album track preview for you guys!

Hey you guys! The tour is just going beautifully!
Apart from a little cold, sniffling and throat hacking, the minstrel is doing famously... Sat on a train, hacking and sniffling, finally realizing that I was sitting beside a very posh German Frau. She was not amused...

Started in Bochum on the 17th with a wonderful night in Luther's with good friends. It was tight and warm and everything as it should be. Thank you Ortwin, Annette, Annika and Bahne and everyone else! :D
Aachen was also very fun, kind of a talk show thing with amazing guests! I met a wonderfully talented young singer songwriter named Lyra. She has a future! Keep your ears peeled. :D
Last night I played the Lange Jan church tower in Middelburg, courtesy of Avendouren's Tonnie Dieleman.

Lange Jan in Middelburg is awesome like the awesomest!

Amazing sound, amazing people, amazing ambience! Totaly Amaaaazing :D And life is good.

A friendly dutch Toilet reminder...

Tonight I'm playing at a the Familie Denissen in a tiny village in Netherlands. I'm so happy to play for such wonderful people :D
What a beautiful life.
Just had a wonderful Grimbergen bier with my host Jan and his friend Marcel at the local tavern. Now, dinner is cooking...
Tonight, I play for their guests at their wonderful home.

Soon, I will be on my way to Nürnberg for more music.

Train, train, take me away... Into the blue, out of the grey :D
I'm a terrible Singer/songwriter... Too happy... Need to step up my sulky whiny bitterness...

Starting recording for new album - Berlin in March

Hey my beautiful friends.
Just wanted to keep you updated. I'm sorry I haven't been writing a lot, but family life takes its time and energy!
I'm starting recording of my new album today in the Greenhouse studios, home to the world famous Bedroom Community.
I love it here, and the working conditions are amazing.
Can't wait to give you guys a sample...

I'll be in Berlin on March 1st taking part in the troubadour competition at Wabe!

Wow you guys!
I've been working like a crazy person these last couple of days.
Three songs in three sit downs is a new record for me.
One love song to my daughter. One ode to childbirth and one Zombie apocalypse love-and-meat-lust rap song... I've got a beautiful rap crew lined up for colab. :D

Hey you guys,
Just wanted to say thanks for an amazing tour of Germany, Poland, Austria and Switzerland last september and october.
It was a wonderful experience and full of crazy gigs and funny happenings.

Now I'm back in Iceland, waiting for a baby to come into the world and everything's going pretty peachy. :D

I can't wait to see you guys again. I'm coming back in April and hope to be bringing with me my new album! I'm going to record it in january and It'll hopefully be out by April.

Oh! I'm putting up a little Cover I did with my friend Kristjana, part of our new duets album Glæður (embers). It'll only be released in Iceland as it's a cute little Kitch number for our Icelandic fans. (But I'll bring some extra copies over for my next tour for the most dedicated fans :D)

Melodica Reykjavík and the Troubadour olympics

Well well well...
I've been terribly busy of late.
Organizing both the Melodica acoustic songwriters festival and the Troubadour Olympics, a related tour where two groups of five international singer/songwriters tour around Iceland doing beautiful music in the most amazing venues in tiny fishing villages.

It went great...
The festival has started. First day over of three days, four venues and 60 acts, some of the international acts playing different venues on different days for maximum exposure. A total of over 60 man hours of music... :D

Vacation? Me? Never...

Hey guys... Just wanted to give you a little heads up about the next three months.
Tomorrow... I'm playing Bræðslan festival, supporting Glen Hansard. Honored, Anxious, pissing my pants and giggling with infantile glee...
Then, off to Litchfield Connecticut (USA) and Toronto (Canada) to play at some nice little functions for beautiful people. (well... paid awesome concert in US and just a friendly jam in Canada...) ;-)

On the 19th of August, Friday, I'm playing the Copenhagen songwriter festival at the Onkel Danny Plads Mainstage...

Then... My wedding!

Then... I'm curating and directing the Melodica Acoustic festival Reykjavík on August 26. to 28.

After that, some album recordings, rehearsals and stuff...

24th of September, I'm off for a tour of Germany, Poland, Switzerland and Austria. The tour lasts just over 2 weeks.

November... Baby!!! :D YAY!!!

January: Recording new solo Album... :D YAY!

I'm happier than any Clam has ever been!
